The full-floor condo unit boasts more than 3,000 square feet and nearly 10 closets

The full-floor Upper East Side apartment formerly owned by the late Andrew Madoff, son of convicted Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff, has sold for $5.4 million, reports 6sqft.

The 3,213-square-foot condo first appeared on the market in February 2016, asking $5.875 million. After receiving a price chop in May, the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom home entered into contract around August.

Exuding loft-like appeal, the sunny space includes wall-lined floor-to-ceiling windows, an open kitchen with custom cabinetry, a decorative fireplace in the expansive open living room, bathrooms with heated floors, a media room, powder room, and at least ten large closets in addition to a dressing room. The apartment also has the capability to utilize the home office as a gym and includes its own balcony accessed through the en-suite master bedroom.

The luxury building at 433 East 74th Street was built in 2007 and has just 12 units and offers amenities that include a landscaped roof with an outdoor kitchen, a fitness room, private storage, and private storage.
