George and Amal Clooney may be moving to Aby Rosen's Midtown tower

Rumor has it that the high-profile couple have purchased one of the buildings 94 units

While the Norman Foster-designed Midtown skyscraper, One Hundred East Fifty Third Street being developed by Aby Rosen, progresses along, the luxury high-rise may have already attracted its first set of celebrity residents. According to Page Six, "sources" have revealed that George Clooney and his wife Amal have purchased a condo within the 63-story tower (and no, it’s not rumored to be the $65 million penthouse unit).

This same source told Page Six that the building appealed to the couple for a number of reasons. They were fond of the design and amenities offered, and its close proximity to the United Nations was a huge plus, given Amal Clooney’s job as a high-profile human-rights attorney and whatnot.

The building will be home to 94 apartments ranging in price from $3.35 million to $65 million. One of the major building amenities is the first-floor gourmet food court that will be run by French chef Joël Robuchon. Other luxuries include a 60-foot swimming pool, sauna, fitness center, yoga and ballet rooms, and a library.

The building is anticipating completion sometime in 2017.
