Uma Thurman's Gramercy Park duplex fetched more than its asking price

The apartment was listed for $6.25 million and sold for $6.61 million

Uma Thurman made quite a neat profit from the sale of her Gramercy Park duplex, the Observer has learned. We already knew the lovely duplex had gone into contract just two months after Thurman listed it on the market this past April, but the Observer now reports that the buyer paid $6.61 million for the five-bedroom apartment, which is higher than Thurman’s ask of $6.25 million.

Before offering it on the market, Thurman had lived on and off in the building for 15 years. First with her ex-husband Ethan Hawke in a three-bedroom, and then she subsequently purchased this then-three-bedroom duplex for $2.65 million. She made the apartment even larger with the addition of a one-bedroom unit for $1.55 million.

Apart from the fact that you get access to Gramercy Park, the duplex comes with tons of luxurious features like a a Turkish steam shower Hammam, Namibian marble counters in the kitchen, Herringbone dark wood floors, and French doors that lead to a Juliet balcony overlooking Gramercy Park.

Uma Thurman’s next NYC abode will likely be the palatial River House pad she splurged $10 million on in 2013.
