The 17-story building has a total of 278 apartments

Construction on Pacific Park’s 17-story market-rate condo, 550 Vanderbilt, is nearing completion, and with that developer Greenland Forest City Partners has unveiled a model apartment at the development.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit comes with Miele appliances in the kitchen along with custom lacquer cabinetry, and the bathrooms are fitted with Carrara marble-topped vanities and flooring.

Designed by COOKFOX, 550 Vanderbilt includes a total of 278 apartments that range in size from studios to four-bedroom units, and that range includes duplexes, penthouses and maisonettes that come with private entrances.

The model apartment has been unveiled over a year after sales got underway in June 2015. Prices range from $830,000 to $6.86 million. Construction has been making steady progress this past year, and by August most of the exterior work had already wrapped up. That same month it was also revealed that Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o was scoping out a $3 million, three-bedroom unit at that development, so she could very well be one of the first residents to move in.

Continuing to drum up excitement about the project, the developer released a virtual reality tour last month that gives a sense of what the views would be like from the penthouse unit. The overall Pacific Park megaproject features 15 buildings spread out over 22-acres, and all of them are at various stages of development right now.
