Go inside the last penthouse of Cookfox’s limestone Midtown East condo

The 3,200-square-foot apartment is on the market for just shy of $10M

Cookfox’s welcome limestone addition to Midtown East’s Second Avenue has new photos of its last remaining penthouse, a full-floor spread that’s listed for a not-too-crazy-expensive $9.975 million. Hear us out on that: the apartment at 301 East 50th Street is still bonkers expensive to most everyone, but for a brand new full-floor apartment with 515 square feet of outdoor space three blocks east of the Waldorf, that’s not too soul defeating.

The apartment comes with the luxury-standard suite of fixtures—Bosch washer and dryer, Gaggenau appliances and a Dornbacht filtered kitchen faucet—as well as less common features like motorized shades. Each bedroom in the three-bedroom apartment comes with an en-suite bathroom, and a powder room is situated just off of the entry foyer.

Penthouse B is one of seven apartments remaining in the building, which holds 57 in all. Sales at the eco-minded condo launched in May 2014 from $1.7 million. The building counts among its green features exterior sun shading to prevent heat from entering the building and reduce glare, energy-efficient heating and cooling, a filtered air system, a double water filtration system, and planted roof surfaces that absorb heat.
