Williamsburg’s Domino Sugar megaproject will launch lottery for 104 rental apartments

The lottery will open on Monday, November 28th

The whimsically-designed rental building that just recently topped out in Williamsburg as part of the Domino sugar refinery site redevelopment is getting ready to open its lottery application for 104 affordable apartments, reports DNAinfo.

The affordable units are a mix of studios, one- and two-bedrooms renting for as low as $596 a month for individuals earning an annual income between $21,772 and $25,400. The priciest of the bunch is a $979/month two-bedroom designated for families with annual income between $34,972 and $54,360.

The 16-story SHoP Architects-designed building, located at 325 Kent Avenue, is making steady progress and it won’t be long before it welcomes its first set of tenants. Once complete, it will offer a total of 500 apartments along with office space. The entire redevelopment will extend across 600,000 square feet with an impressive total of 2,800 apartments added to the neighborhood.

The affordable housing lottery for 325 Kent Avenue will begin accepting applications (PDF!) on Monday, November 28th.
