Actress Lake Bell pricechops her 1850s Clinton Hill townhouse

The townhouse is now on the market for $2.55M

Actress Lake Bell and tattoo artist Scott Campbell have reduced the asking price of their 1850s Brooklyn home. The townhouse in the remote Wallabout section of Clinton Hill was first put on the market by the celeb couple in July for $3 million, nearly twice as much as the In a World... actress and Campbell paid for the joint in 2013. Its asking price is now $2.55 million, still $1 million on the nose more than the couple purchased it for (h/t NYO).

The brokerbabble says the house was thoroughly renovated to bring it “a truly Brooklyn style,” which along with the swelling popularity of the area (and maybe even that celebrity premium) is the likely culprit behind the initial price bump. What that renovation consisted of is unclear looking at the bare-bones listing pictures, but the listing makes mention of a fully-refinished basement storage area and a laundry room under the stoop.

The listing also touts the parlor’s wood-burning fireplace and custom engraved oak floors, the kitchen’s butcher block counter top and stainless steel appliances, a third-floor master suite with a freestanding tub, and a terraced, landscaped garden with an outdoor fireplace and fountain.
