A new Morris Adjmi-designed condo in the Upper West Side-Central Park West Historic District is poised to launch sales from a not-insignificant $3.95 million. It took some finessing before the city’s Landmarks commission gave the green light to developer Anbau Enterprises to build the 13-story condo on West 79th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Broadway, but the commission was wooed by a symmetrical design with a facade of brick, limestone, and terracotta, and Art Deco accents that compliment its neighbor, the individually landmarked Lucerne Hotel.

The announcement of the building’s impending sales launch also comes with the first interior renderings for the project, and new details about the residences. Condos will range from 1,662 square feet to 4,336 square feet and be broken down into two- to six-bedroom apartments, two townhouses, and a penthouse. Living and dining areas will include, per a press release, “mansion wave parquet patterned floors,” kitchens with Calacatta marble islands and gray oak cabinets, and bathrooms with marble-topped oak vanities and rattan marble and porcelain mosaic floors.

The building’s lobby will include leaf patterned mosaic tiles and a William Morris-inspired custom wallpaper. Amenities include a 24-hour attended lobby, a gym, a playroom (curiously, with bleacher seating), a bike storage room, and private storage available at an extra cost.
