Just a few weeks after Gamma Real Estate snatched up the development site at 3 Sutton Place for about $98 million at a foreclosure auction, the group is not wasting time and has already filed plans to build a 67-story residential tower, reports The Real Deal.

Plans for the 844-foot tower include 389 apartments spread across 262,069 square feet of space with just two units per floor from floors two through 66. Building amenities will occupy floors one through five and are slated to include a playroom, fitness center, conference room, and lounge.

Original proposal plans for a 900-foot tower at 3 Sutton Place prompted community opposition and a push to get the area rezoned to limit building heights to just 260 feet. Despite the filed plans, things are still up in the air. The firm will continue to weigh all other options for the site, using the filed building plans to “safeguard the property.”
