Nearly 400 High Line-hugging rentals now available from $3,090/month

The apartments are spread out over three buildings near the High Line

Lalezarian Properties’s massive High Line-hugging rental project, 507 West Chelsea, has now launched leasing on its 375 apartments that are spread out over three buildings. Apartments here range in size from studios to three-bedrooms and prices start at $3,090/month for a studio.

Of the apartments currently listed on the building’s website, the priciest unit is a two-bedroom asking $6,129/month. Some of the standout features in these apartments include walnut floors, high ceilings, and washer-dryers in-unit. Many of the apartments here also come with private terraces and balconies.

While the overall project goes by the address of 507 West 28th Street, the three buildings are located across from each other on Tenth Avenue. The two shorter towers stand by side-by-side in the direction of Eleventh Avenue, and the taller tower stands on the east. The entire rental development is located right next to Zaha Hadid’s curvy High Line condo at 520 West 28th Street.

This Avinash K. Malhotra Architects-designed building has been in the works in one form or another for the past seven years and remained largely shrouded in mystery until construction got underway early last year. The project had made significant progress by February this year, and in August the developer launched the affordable housing lottery on the project’s 75 affordable units, with studios renting from $596/month.

Amenities in this building include an indoor heated pool, a recreation lounge with a catering kitchen, a children’s playroom, a fitness center, and onsite parking and bike storage.

Along with the leasing launch, the developers are also offering a discount—two months free on a 14-month lease which would take the monthly net price for a studio to $2,649/month. The rentals listed on the building’s website display the net effective rent with the two-month discount on the 14-month leases. The first set of residents will start moving in next month.
