Susan Soros's Former UES Townhouse Gets Another Price Cut

New, 22 comments

It's been nearly a year since the Upper East Side townhouse once owned by Susan Weber Soros (the ex-wife of financier George Soros) hit the market, and in that time it's gotten a couple of price chops: It went from $33 million in March to $28 million in November; it was then delisted, and has reappeared as of today with a new asking price of $27 million. An anonymous LLC (not-so-cleverly named 70TH Street Casa LLC) bought the property from Soros in 2014 for $31.5 million, and they've thus far been unsuccessful at flipping it, despite a renovation (done while Soros still lived there) that updated the 1901 building's interiors. The exterior is notable for its lovely copper bay window, and the interiors include wood-burning fireplaces, marble floors, gorgeous wooden staircases, and more.
