Nice But Unorthodox Studio In the Heart of NYU Asks $775,000

New, 13 comments

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

Usually, brokerbabble doesn't shy away from marketing small apartments around colleges as "perfect for students", but the listing for this Waverly Place studio, right in the heart of NYU territory, does no such thing. We'll call it out, though: for the NYU student who, when they were 12, made a small fortune on the stock market, or, more likely, for the NYU student whose parents will dish out, this one's for you. At 570 square feet (maybe), this place is decent in size, but it's been laid out quite thoughtfully if not unorthodoxly with a platform for a desk above a closet, and a lofted sleeping area above the bathroom. Both the bathroom and kitchen have been fitted out with high-end finishes. The co-op is asking $775,000, and has a monthly maintenance charge of $1,199.
