Superbroker Dolly Lenz has laid to rest the rumor that Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were house-hunting in the West Village by confirming, via Instagram, that the celebrity duo have indeed inked a deal for two townhouses on West 11th Street. It seems that Parker and Broderick are hopping on the megamansion bandwagon with plans to combine the townhouses at 273 and 275 West 11th Street into a 50-foot-wide 13,900-square-foot mansion. Yowzaand we all thought their West 10th Street digs were nice.
It appears that Lenz is working as the buyer's broker, but was unavailable for comment. TRD reported earlier this month that Parker and Broderick were seen eyeing the townhouses, which were put on the market by the nonprofit United Methodist Women in September with Eastern Consolidated for $44 million. A rep for Eastern Consolidated confirmed that the listing has gone into contract at its most recent ask of $35 million, and also clarified that Dolly Lenz was not involved in the deal.
United Methodist Women have owned the two stately red brick townhouses since the 1920s, and has used them as a guesthouse and conference center. The townhouses' listings with Eastern Consolidated came with a few low-quality interior photos and a few sparse deets. Both 273 and 275 have separate interior staircases and basements, and 275 has been updated with a still-functioning elevator. From the looks of it, both townhouses still have tons of original details like original mantels and moldings.
Broderick and Parker sold their lovely East 10th Street townhouse at a loss in March. The couple paid nearly $19 million for the townhouse in 2011, fully renovated it before relisting for $25 million, and ultimately sold for $18.25 million.
