Residential Tower Rises At Cornell Tech Roosevelt Island Campus

New, 2 comments

It's been months since we checked in on construction of Cornell University's tech campus on Roosevelt Island, in the middle of the East River. Now, thanks to photos posted by Tectonic, we can report the Handel Architects-designed residential tower is making real headway. The 26-story 350-unit building, which will use energy-efficient passive house design, is more than halfway to its final height. Other buildings such as the Bloomberg Center and The Bridge have also made progress. Completion of this phase of the campus is expected in 2017.
