Summary
Morgan and Susan at one point lived up in Westchester County and dreamed of living in New York City, so they could really experience it. Then work took them to northern Virginia. Now, with one of them retired and their kids living in NYC, it was time for them to make the move. First they had to sell their house in Virginia. They wanted a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, dog-friendly pre-war co-op on the Upper East Side. They looked at a bunch of places, including a place in Carnegie Hill that went into contract, even checked out the Upper West Side. Eventually, the Carnegie Hill place was available again and they took it. It only has one bathroom and has a tiny kitchen, but they love city living. However, they don't see the kids as much as they expected and the subway bothers Morgan while he works from home. [The Hunt/Shedding a House to Buy an Upper East Side Apartment]
