Brooklyn’s Controversial Pierhouse Development Is Nearly Complete

The development features a total of 106 condo units spread out over two buildings

New photos by Tectonic reveal that construction work on the exterior of Pierhouse at Brooklyn Bridge Park is nearing completion. When Curbed toured a model unit at the controversial development in December last year, the project had an anticipated completion date of June 2016, and the photos suggest that the project is on track to meet its deadline.

The Toll Brothers City Living-developed project features a total of 106 one-to-five bedroom apartments, and a 192-room hotel. The residential part of the project is spread out over two buildings. The larger one is located at 90 Furman Street, and the other at 130 Furman Street.

Earlier this year, it was rumored that Beyonce and Jay-Z had picked up a condo at the development, but a representative for the couple later told the Brooklyn Paper that it was just that—a rumor. A representative for the development group told Curbed that 80 percent of the condos have now been sold.
