Another luxury condo is coming to the Flatiron District, just blocks away from other developments like 212 Fifth Avenue and 45 East 22nd Street. This one, by developer Andau and designed by COOKFOX, will have 48 apartments spread out over two towers—one would be 24 stories tall, and the other 10 stories, per plans on file with the DOB (h/t The Real Deal).
One thing that makes this development unique is the fact that the larger of the two towers will cantilever starting at the 14th floor, which you can vaguely see in one of the renderings below. (h/t YIMBY)
Per the filings, the apartments themselves will likely be quite large: there will be at least two duplexes, some of which will have private terraces; most of the apartments in both towers will either occupy a full or half floor as well. The 118,000-square-foot building will also have additional space for ground-floor retail.
