On a row of mostly brick buildings in Boerum Hill, a concrete building with four apartments is set to rise, YIMBY reports. The new project, which is being designed by Atelier New York Architecture, will replace an existing two-story brick building at the site. Though the developer, XNV Properties has decided to retain some parts of the old structure including the foundation, and some walls. The new structure, the facade for which will be created with built-in-place concrete, will stand four stories tall. The first three floors will one apartment each, and the top floor will have a duplex penthouse. The ground floor apartment gets its own private backyard. Second and third floor residents will get balconies, and the penthouse will have its own roof deck. The apartments will have between 1,100 and 2,000 square feet of space.
