Construction on Hudson Yards Megaproject Is Coming Along

New, 2 comments

In 2015, there was significant progress on the Hudson Yards megaproject that's currently taking over Midtown's west side. One of its buildings, 10 Hudson Yards, topped out, the 7 line extension opened, and construction began on 30 Hudson Yards, the tallest of the towers to rise over the massive development. And 2016 is poised to be just as big, with construction continuing on the project's many components (including the Culture Shed and the retail podium)—so now's a great time for a construction update. Field Condition recently stopped by the site to see where things are at; construction is moving along on 30 Hudson Yards, where the superstructure is now visible above ground, and the facade at the retail podium (which will hold a Neiman Marcus store) in the process of being installed.
