First Look at The Easton, Related's Upper East Side Rental Behemoth

New, 8 comments

The 39-story rental building will hold 230 "graciously proportioned" apartments

Related's 230-unit luxury rental at 205 East 92nd Street has been in the works for a while now, but as of today, its "graciously proportioned" apartments have hit the rental market, under the name The Easton. (This comes after 47 apartments became available through HPD's affordable housing lottery; those will rent for as little at $607, in comparison.)

The high-end rentals were "inspired by the East Side’s grandest apartments," per a press release, and the floorplans below live up to that, with features like eat-in kitchens and master suites (even the smallest apartment, a 700-square-foot one-bedroom, is nicely laid out). They also have prices to match: One-bedrooms begin at $4,400, with rents going as high as $15,995 for a four-bedroom, three-bathroom.

Related is also marketing the Easton as a family-friendly building (hence those three- and four-bedroom pads), with amenities to match: There's an "under-the-sea-themed" kid's room, as well as a slightly more sophisticated teen room with "study nooks for homework and private tutoring, and custom sound-proof music rehearsal rooms equipped with pianos designed by Steinway & Sons." (Sure, that's a thing that children need.)

For those who may not be as enthused by the kid-friendly perks, there are also amenities like a lounge on the building's top floor, an Equinox gym on-site, 24-hour concierge, and housekeeping services. (You get what you pay for, apparently.)
