Our semi-regular feature, Monday Mansion, examines the most interesting mega homes on the market in the far reaches of New York. Have a listing in mind that we're missing? Tell us about it. To the outer boroughs we go!
This huge Bay Ridge mansion, which just hit the market for $3.3 million, has a lot going for it, namely space—though it's listed as only having 2,950 square feet, it does come with an enormous backyard that's big enough to fit a four-car detached garage and a heated swimming pool. Seriously, look at this:
The house itself, a lovely, red-brick Colonial that was built in the 1930s, was originally listed in 2013 at nearly $4 million, but has since gotten a series of price cuts. But it has four bedrooms (many of which have custom shelving) and three bathrooms, along with a full eat-in kitchen and finished basement. The interiors are a bit dated, but it's nothing that a buyer with a bit of imagination couldn't work with. It's located on a secluded side street near the Bay Ridge waterfront and Shore Road Park.
