The condo conversion of the Cass Gilbert-designed warehouse at 184 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg is moving right along, with construction already underway in some of the spaces within the gigantic building. And now, details have emerged on the conversion itself: Morris Adjmi is the architect behind the revamp, and will design the building's lobby, amenity spaces, and apartments. (The new rendering seen here is of the Adjmi-designed lobby.) The architect's fingerprints are all over Williamsburg as of late—in addition to the famed Wythe Hotel, he's working on condo and rental buildings in the ’hood.
There are also new details on the building itself, now christened Austin Nichols House, which will have 338 condos spread out over its six floors. The units will range from studios to three-bedrooms, with pricing as follows: studios will start at $540,000, one-bedrooms at $835,000, and two-bedrooms will begin at $1.3 million. Sales are expected to launch sometime in the next few months.
