City to install over 15 miles of physically protected bicycle lanes this year

The official printed New York City 2016 Bike Map will be available in bike shops, NYC Parks recreation centers, libraries, and schools starting next month. But you can already check out the map online. There are 70 miles of new of "upgraded" bike lane, according to Gothamist. Plus, the city says it is "committed to installing over 15 miles of physically protected bicycle lanes in 2016, the most of any year on record." Don’t take the map’s word for everything, as there are apparently a few errors, including information about Union Street and Prospect Park in Brooklyn.

By the way, you can also order a printed bike map by calling 311.
