New Views of Robert A.M. Stern’s 220 Central Park South

Is this what the 950-foot tower will look like?

The towers rising around the southern end of Central Park will transform New York City's skyline, but exactly how remains up in the air for at least a few of them. Extell refuses to confirm a design for the city's forthcoming tallest residential tower, and whatever behemoth KPF is planning for the erstwhile site of famous dive bar Subway Inn is being kept tightly under wraps. Another one on the hush-hush train is Vornado's 220 Central Park South. This development team's been more forthcoming with its Robert A.M. Stern design, evidenced by a new batch of renderings a tipster found on Vornado's website, but the team repping the tower is keeping mum on whether they represent the final product.

Whatever the case, they show really pretty views of the 950-foot tower and its boutique-y-er little sister, the Villas, which will hold 13 extravagantly expensive apartments.
