Harlem's first Whole Foods is nearly ready to welcome its first customers, new photos by Harlem+Bespoke have revealed (h/t YIMBY). The façade work is almost done, but the grocery chain has yet to announce an opening date for the store, which is located at corner of West 125th Street and Malcolm X Boulevard.
Whole Foods is just one of several tenants located in this six-story commercial building that spans over 200,000 square feet. Other tenants in the building include Burlington Coat Factory, Nordstrom Rack, Olive Garden and TD Bank.
The project took quite some time to get off the ground. It was announced in 2012, but construction didn't begin until last year. The project has been moving along steadily since. The commercial building is being developed by Wharton Properties with design work by Gambino + LaPorta Architecture.
