Bed-Stuy Warehouse Will Transform Into a Nine-Story Residential Building

It will bring 118 apartments to the neighborhood sometime next spring

Construction is now underway on a nine-story residential building set to rise on Atlantic Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, and developers have released new renderings for the project, DNAinfo reports (h/t 6sqft).

Developed by Velocity Framers USA Inc., the building will bring 118 apartments to the neighborhood. The project is being designed by architecture firm, StudioC, and spans close to 80,000 square feet.

The apartments will average just over 650 square feet, and amenities in the building announced so far include three recreational areas, and space for 59 cars, and bicycles respectively, according to YIMBY.

The developer purchased the site, which was once a single-story warehouse, last summer for $7.3 million, according to city records. Construction is expected to wrap up sometime in the spring next year.
