'Indulgent' Condos in Dual East Village Buildings Hit the Market From $2.35M

New, 3 comments

Two six-story buildings will hold sizable luxury apartments

Developers have been flocking to the further reaches of the East Village as of late, with several new projects in the works for the area east of Avenue A. Just one block over from Steiner NYC's new luxury East Village building, and a few blocks up from Ben Shaoul's 100 Avenue A, another fancy condo development is on the rise.

Dubbed Thirteen East + West, the project is so named because there are two buildings—located at 436 and 442 East 13th Street—with 12 units between them. And as of next week, those apartments will hit the market with luxury prices: They begin at $2.5 million, with two penthouses on each building's top floor starting at $3.4 million. (But considering the market, those prices are seen as relatively reasonable: In a press release, developer David Amirian said, "We felt it was more important to sell the units where the market is currently at versus where people perceive it to be. We were more realistic with our prices at this time of the cycle.")

Building amenities include a children's playroom and private outdoor space in most of the units; the units themselves are pretty big, averaging around 1,700 square feet, and come with "indulgent" finishes. They're being brought to market by Million Dollar Listing New York star Ryan Serhant's Serhant Team with Nest Seekers International.
