The last undeveloped corner of Central Park is undeveloped no longer with the debut of Circa Central Park, the FXFOWLE-designed condo at 110th Street and Frederick Douglass Circle. The building's 38 market-rate units are officially on the market, with a full website with more details on the development to match. Those join ten previously-announced affordable units, which are asking from $272,000. As you'd expect, the market-rate condos are a bit pricier than that; they're asking from $1.1 million, though the currently-lusted units begin with a 1,169-square-foot two-bedroom asking $2 million, and go up to a five-bedroom, 2,771-square-foot penthouse asking $7.48 million.
The development's "thoughtfully programmed amenity spaces" include the usual—fitness room, rooftop terrace, and a 24-hour doorman—along with a lot of amenities for kids, in an attempt to cement it as a family-friendly building. Seriously, it's a lot: "children’s playroom, tween room outfitted with gaming console, and quiet study room, remote control sailboats to take the Meer in the park, scooters and picnic baskets for use in Central Park directly across the circle and Morningside Park one block west." Lucky kids.
