Today we're checking in on construction work taking place at two buildings that are part of the Brooklyn megaproject that is Pacific Park.
First, let's take a look at the development's modular residence at 461 Dean Street. The building has a total of 363 apartments, of which half have been set aside for middle and low-income residents. The affordable housing lottery for the building is set to launch any day now. Just one floor is yet to be installed in this 32-story building, and in terms of apartments, 320 units are now in place.
The project is expected to be complete this fall.
About a half mile away from that development is 550 Vanderbilt Avenue. This one stands 17-stories tall and has 278 luxury condos that range from studios to four-bedrooms. Construction work has moved along considerably since we last checked in with the project back in October last year.
Pacific Park will ultimately see the creation of over 6,000 apartments both affordable and market-rate spread out over 22 acres. About 1,800 apartments are currently under construction.
