It took a few years and a couple of turns through the Landmarks Preservation Commission, but Toll Brothers' West Village co-op building—notable for its location right next to the historic Church of St. Luke in the Fields—is close to completion, and sales have launched as of today. Eight units are currently on the market, ranging from a two-bedroom for $4.7 million to a $6.5 million three-bedroom. There will be 33 co-op apartments in total, and of those, seven have been classified as affordable.
New renderings from Toll Brothers also show what the building may look like, with interiors by Bernheimer Architecture; they'll feature your typical high-end finishes, including Carrara marble counters, white oak flooring, and custom fixtures throughout. Amenities include a playroom for kids, common area for residents, a fitness center, "pet spa," and a wine cellar where, per a press release, "each residence will have a keyed wine storage closet." (This also seems to be par for the course in luxury buildings nowadays.) Some apartments also have outdoor spaces that overlook the gardens of St. Luke in the Fields, which is one of the city's prettiest hidden gardens.
