The structure for Extell Development's One Manhattan Square project is now a few stories above ground, a construction site photo by Tectonic has revealed. Plans call for the creation of an 800-foot building with 815 apartments that will likely be complete sometime in 2019.
The particular section of the Lower East Side this tower is located in has seen a huge spurt of development in the last few months with the announcement of a 77-story skyscraper developed by JDS at 247 Cherry Street, and two, rumored 50-story buildings planned for 265-275 South Street.
