Extell's Upper East Side Condo Tower Is Now Above Ground

The building will stand 30-stories tall when construction wraps up next year

Construction is well underway at Extell Development's planned 30-story residential tower on Third Avenue between East 94th and 95th Streets. The structure is now a few stories above ground, and construction is expected to wrap up sometime next year.

The Beyer Blinder Belle-designed condo building features 104 apartments according to the construction permits, though that number has previously been speculated as 84 units, and StreetEasy lists it at 90.

The project came about after Extell's purchase of several smaller buildings along Third Avenue in the summer of 2014. Those buildings were subsequently demolished to make way for the large condo building.

Extell's condo building is located just a few blocks away from Related's rental building at East 92nd and Third Avenue and DDG's planned 521-foot tower at 180 East 88th Street, which is currently embroiled in some controversy.
