Leave it to actress Parker Posey (of Party Girl, The House of Yes, Best in Show, and pretty much every other quirky-cool movie of the past couple of decades) to do buck convention when it comes to selling real estate in New York. Posey purchased a one-bedroom co-op in a grand Fifth Avenue building in 2008, and has since decided to sell the place for $1.45 million (listings link is here, via Mindy Brill of Yael Dunsky Real Estate).

But unlike many other celebs, who go out of their way to keep their real estate transactions under-the-radar, Posey (and her dog, a Bichon Frise named Gracie) appears in her own listings photos, casually reading a copy of Mary Louise Parker's Dear Mr. You like it ain't no thing.

The apartment itself is a corner unit with views to the east and north (including of the lovely, historic Church of the Ascension just up the block). It has a foyer, several walk-in closets, original floors, custom built-in bookshelves, and more nice amenities. And the building is pet-friendly, obviously.
