Fashion designer Betsey Johnson may be known for her over-the-top garments, accessories, and personal style, but the icon has toned it down when it comes to her Upper East Side apartment. The Post reports all of nine days after it hit the market that Johnson is looking to leave behind her one-bedroom at 30 East 85th Street. The toned-down pad was easy to miss compared to her garish former Fifth Avenue penthouse, with only a few pink accents like the living room rug giving its owner away. The one-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment comes with a spacious terrace and is asking $2.25 million.
Johnson told the Post that she's leaving the city behind for the west coast, where her daughter and grandchildren live. The fashionista listed her charming East Hampton abode last August for just under $2 million.
