Affordable Rentals In a New Crown Heights Building Start at $933

This eight-story building features 30 affordable rentals, of a total 147 apartments

The affordable housing lottery is now underway at an eight-story rental building in Crown Heights, 6sqft reports. Located at 505 Saint Marks Avenue, the building features 30 affordable units, of a total 147 apartments. The affordable units start at $913 per month for a one-bedroom and go up to $1,065 per month for a two-bedroom.

Of the total affordable units, 18 are listed as one-bedrooms, and 31 are listed as two-bedrooms on the NYC Housing Connect page, which we know adds up to more than the 30 affordable units mentioned above, but it's not exactly clear where Housing Connect came up with these numbers. Regardless the affordable units are available to people with an annual income that ranges between $31,303 and $51,780.

The market-rate units have been available for a while now, and of those currently listed on StreetEasy, the cheapest is a one-bedroom renting for $2,490 per month. Amenities in this Isaac and Stern Architects-designed building include a roof deck, a residents lounge, laundry on site, and a bike room.
