Originally built in 1889, this Victorian brownstone in Bedford-Stuyvesant recently underwent a renovation courtesy furniture designer Christiaan Bunce, and it's now on the market, asking $2.995 million.
The four-story townhouse spans 3,800 square feet and features a rear deck and a terraced yard. On the floor above that, a furnished private terrace attached to the master bedroom overlooks this garden. The master bedroom (which has a walk-in closet) and bath take up all of the second floor, and there are two bedrooms located on the floors above that.
The ground floor is made up of the kitchen and the living room and some of the standout features there include white oak flooring with walnut inlay, walnut cabinets with satin lacquer fronts in the kitchen, long attenuated windows, and handmade fumed white oak pocket doors.
Bunce, who is a partner at the furniture firm, KGBL, purchased the townhouse last year and has since worked to create the moldings, woodwork, the floors and the furniture for the renovated home. The townhouse also comes with a one-bedroom, garden level rental unit.
