SOM’s Undulating 57th Street Tower Will Have Rentals From $3,200

Features a total of 169 apartments that range in size from studios to three-bedrooms

New Renderings have been unveiled for the rental portion of the SOM-designed tower on 57th Street. The 65-story building features a total of 169 rental units with 93 condos on top of that. When we last checked in with the project in February this year, the undulating structure was being fitted with its glass exterior.

Developers World Wide Group and Rose Associates have remained tight lipped on the project so far, but Curbed has now learned that apartments in the rental portion of the building will start from $3,200 per month. Units range in size from studios to three bedrooms and feature high ceilings, hardwood floors, oversized windows, and bathrooms with Porcelanosa tiling.

Residents in the rental section will have access to amenities like a landscaped terrace with a fire pit, a fitness center, a lounge, and a field house with a basketball court and rock climbing wall.

The rental and condo sections are being marketed separately with different websites and addresses. The condo section is listed at 252 East 57th Street, and the newly launched teaser site for the rental portion lists 1065 Second Avenue as its address and is going by the name Aalto57.

Leasing on the rental units is expected to launch soon, while many of the condos in the upper portion of the building are already in contract.
