On Nostrand Avenue in Bed-Stuy, a row of three-story brick buildings will soon make way for four separate apartment buildings with 24 units, and YIMBY now has the first rendering for the project.
Designed by Issac and Stern Architects, construction is already underway on the projects that will see the construction of four identical, four-story buildings side by side at 335-341 Nostrand Avenue. Each building will have five apartments, with the units averaging about 840 square feet. There are also provisions for 1,300 square feet of retail on the ground floor of every building.
YIMBY believes that the developer, Scott Kushnick, decided to break up the project into four buildings to avoid building a 12-car parking garage, as would be required by law, if all 24 apartments were in the same building.
