To Honor Orlando Victims, Brooklyn Borough Hall Will Be Wrapped In a Rainbow Ribbon

The ribbon will be unveiled at a ceremony tomorrow afternoon

Brooklyn Borough Hall will be wrapped in a giant rainbow ribbon starting tomorrow afternoon, in memory of the 49 people who were killed, and 53 others injured in the horrific attack at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, on June 12. With more than 800-feet of fabric, the ribbon will be composed of red, orange yellow, green, blue, and purple segments, and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams will give away parts of the ribbon to the families of the victims once the ribbon comes down at the end of this month.

Adams is scheduled to unveil the ribbon and talk about fighting gun violence and hate crimes at an event tomorrow afternoon at 12 p.m. at the Joralemon Street entrance to Borough Hall. We will update this post with images once the ceremony has concluded tomorrow afternoon.
