JDS Opens the Quirky Sales Office For its First Brooklyn Condo

The 11-story building, known as Baltic, features 44 condos

JDS’s relatively modest condo in Park Slope, Baltic recently topped out at 11 stories, and in order to boost sales, which had a soft launch in February this year, the developers have undertaken a quirky and rather captivating approach to designing their newly unveiled sales office.

Located in a transformed gallery space in Gowanus, the sales office was designed by artist Anna Karlin. She created several sculptures made out of materials that will actually be used in the building. Each sculpture represents a different part of the building be it the lobby, the master bathroom or the structure’s facade.

JDS picked up the property at 613 Baltic Street in the summer of 2014, and construction got underway the following year. The project has moved ahead swiftly since we last checked in with the building in early June. Here’s a time lapse that captures the progress on the structure.

The condo building features a total of 44 apartments with prices starting at $920,000. Some of the apartments listed on StreetEasy are in contract with the priciest one at just over $3 million. Among those available, prices range from $1.495 million to $2.75 million.

Amenities at the VOA Architecture VOA, now Stantec-designed building include a roof terrace with an outdoor cinema, a two-level landscaped garden, a gym, and a residents lounge among others. Now check out images from the sales gallery below.
