Live In a Turret In Forest Hills For $469,000

New, 2 comments

The two-bedroom co-op is located in a lovely early-20th-century building

Charming homes in Forest Hills are practically a dime a dozen, but this co-op has something really special going for it: It’s located within the Forest Hills Inn (not actually an in, though—it went co-op in 1967) in Station Square, the so-called "centerpiece" of Forest Hills Gardens (according to the Friends of Forest Hills Gardens, anyway). The structure’s Tudor-style architecture is similar to that of the surrounding neighborhood, but the two-bedroom apartmentcurrently for sale within the complex has been given more of a modern update, with a renovated kitchen and bathroom. There’s also plenty of natural light, thanks to all of the windows in the apartment—which is what happens when you’re living inside a turret, apparently. It’s a gem of a place, especially considering it’s asking only $469,000 (the maintenance is $1,600 per month, though).
