When you think of the latest luxury rentals set to hit the market in Brooklyn, neighborhoods like Downtown Brooklyn, Dumbo, and Williamsburg are the first that come to mind. But for developers, Halcyon Management Group, that was clearly not the case. Their newest luxury rental project, which is currently under construction, is located in Borough Park at the site of a former factory building at 968 60th Street, the New York Times reports.
The Hamilton, as the building is known, was designed by Karl Fischer, and features a total of 92 apartments. They range in size in from studios to three-bedrooms with the former starting at $1,800 and the latter around $4,000. The median price for a Borough Park studio for the month of June was $2,378/month, according to the Times, so the development’s pricing is significantly lower in that respect.
The project is being built at a cost of $25 million, and amenities here include a game room, a 1,000 square foot residents lounge that can be used as an office space for tenants who work from home. There are also plans for retail on the ground floor. The project is expected to wrap up later this year, according to YIMBY.
