Tadao Ando’s Nolita condo has been talked about for years now what with a $15 million apartment there setting a neighborhood sales record, and the announcement of a massive green wall flanking its south facade. Over the weekend, Bowery Boogie stopped by the construction site at 152 Elizabeth Street where construction is finally underway, and the structure is about one-story above ground.
Developed by Sumaida + Khurana, this seven story building will have a mix of seven full-floor and half-floor apartments. The pricey pads for the building released so far include a two-bedroom asking $5.75 million, and a four-bedroom that wants $14.8 million. The project is due to be complete in Spring of 2017.
