Itty-bitty furnished Chelsea studio seeks a minuscule $299,000

It's small, but has plenty of storage space

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

Earlier this week, we showed you listings in the five boroughs (well, really, Brooklyn and the Bronx) that were asking under $100,000. Deals like that are often hard to find in Manhattan, but if you’re willing to shell out a bit more money—and forgo things like a full bedroom or a large kitchen—you can find not-outrageously-expensive apartments in Manhattan.

Take, for example, this Chelsea studio, which is currently listed for $299,000. There’s no square footage listed with the property, but suffice to say that it’s small—there’s a kitchen and a bathroom, and a common space, and that’s about it. But the apartment comes fully furnished, with a spiffy Italian Murphy bed and a wall-mounted TV in the interest of saving space. There also appears to be plenty of storage, both in the kitchen and embedded in the walls.

It’s not for everyone, that’s for sure—especially considering it’s a fourth-floor walk-up—but given the price and the location (West 18th Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues), there’s sure to be a buyer who doesn’t care too much about things like, well, space.
