The home was once occupied by Suzy Parker and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor visited when Blass would host his lavish parties

The famous penthouse of the late iconic fashioner designer Bill Blass has found a buyer. According to the Observer, the apartment at 444 East 57th Street, where 1950s supermodel Suzy Parker also lived at a point in time, has entered into contract.

When we reported on its listing back in May, the luxurious home was asking $6.75 million. At this point, it’s unknown who the buyer was and what the home actually sold for but we assume that whoever snatched up the pad was fond of its captivating history. It’s said that Blass frequently held lavish parties at his home that welcomed the likes of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The building is also where Marilyn Monroe and former husband Arthur Miller once lived.

Aside from its enriched history and star-studded days, whoever landed the Sutton place condo got themselves a sprawling 2,200-square-foot home that has undergone a two-year renovation but still maintains its classical elegance. It offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two wood-burning fireplaces, and more than 3,000 square feet of terrace space that give way to captivating views of the East River and Queensboro Bridge.
