BKSK's Hudson Yards tower will rent from $913 in affordable lottery

The lottery will remain open until October 4th and will offer up 46 below-market apartments

The affordable housing lottery for 46 of the 225 rental units at Hudson Yards’ mixed-use tower will open tomorrow, drawing hopefuls across the city to apply in a chance to land one of the apartments within the 30-foot tower dubbed the Hi Side, reports 6sqft.

Those earning 60 percent of the area median income will be eligible to apply for studios through two-bedrooms located at 509 West 38th Street with rent prices ranging from $913 to $1,183 a month. The lottery (PDF!) will remain open through early October and a 50 percent preference will be given to Manhattan Community Board 4 residents, another 5 percent for city employees, and a combined 7 percent of the units are prioritized for disabled applicants.

Among the building amenities are a jam room, screening room, fitness center, rooftop garden. The BKSK Architects-designed tower will allocate over 13,000 square feet for retail space and another roughly 29,000 square feet for non-profit community space.
