Well, that was fast: Just two months after hitting the market, a one-bedroom co-op at 312 West 77th Street has sold, reportedly for $500,000. The apartment is notable (sort of) because it’s within a building where jazz legend Miles Davis once lived; according to the New York Post, Davis lived in the building for 25 years, but after he moved out it was cut up into six separate units.
The one that sold, unit 2F, measures about 500 square feet and has one bedroom, one bathroom, and a somewhat dated appearance—the kitchen could use a redo, for example. But it’s located on a lovely block between West End Avenue and Riverside Drive, and Riverside Park is within spitting distance. And per the Post, the buyer "‘loves’ the building’s jazz-music history," so the lack of mod cons probably didn’t matter too much.
