Brooklyn Heights co-op comes with an enormous backyard for $550,000

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

The listing for this Brooklyn Heights one-bedroom touts the fact that it was "[t]otally renovated by the architect-owners," and while evidence of that is only moderately on display—the kitchen is nicely done, with space-maximizing cabinetry; the furniture was clearly chosen by someone with a contemporary aesthetic—it’s a nice place nevertheless.

The standout feature is the backyard, which appears to be nearly as big (if not bigger) than the bedroom, with easy access from the common area. Granted, it'll only be useful for a few more weeks before winter comes, but think of all the barbecues that'd be possible next year. It’s also in a lovely part of the neighborhood, and relatively close to transit. The asking price: $550,000, with $785 maintenance.
