After owning the home for more than a decade, the 1980s actress has parted ways with the East 10th Street duplex

Iconic actress Molly Ringwald, who starred in 1980s classics like "The Breakfast Club" and "Sixteen Candles," has sold her East Village duplex, reports Luxury Listings NYC. The co-op apartment was listed back in June for an asking price of $1.795 million and sold just shy of that ask. The new owners, a Polish prince/photographer and his wife, purchased the pad for $1.7 million.

Ringwald purchased the two-bedroom, one-and-a-half bathroom apartment back in 2004 and has owned it ever since, giving it a renovation while maintaining its historical details that include decorative marble mantles, 10-inch wood beam ceilings, exposed brick, and a wood-burning fireplace. It also comes with a large eat-in kitchen and modern bathroom. In recent years, the actress used the apartment more as a pied-a-terre while she resided in Santa Monica with her family. The home resides along East 10th Street atop a 19th-Century townhouse built in 1861.
