Peek inside the NYC homes of Taylor Swift, Lena Dunham, and Carmelo Anthony

Get a glimpse of how the rich and famous furnish their city living spaces

Remember when there was a show called MTV Cribs that would take you into the homes of your favorite celebrities, giving a room-by-room tour and full view their lavish lifestyles (even if some were rented just for the show)? Well the days of Cribs are long gone, leaving it up to our imagination to wonder what the interiors of various actors, singers, and athletes homes look like. While listing photos give the scoop on what apartments render before their famous occupants move in, what happens next is often a mystery. But thank goodness for social media. In the Instagram posts we’ve rounded up below, we get a glimpse into how celebs living in the city have furnished their digs—whether it be a bit odd, super fun, and just plain jane.

↓Lena Dunham swapped out her wood kitchen cabinets for a fun touch of color in the Brooklyn Heights home instead. It also functions as her yoga studio when needed.

↓Gwyneth Paltrow’s "pale, dreamy cloud" of a home in Tribeca comes with a swing in the white-washed living room. It can all be yours for $12.85 million.

Taylor Swift’s home once combined the spirit of the holiday season with rustic charm. No word yet on how her $40,000 a month Greenwich Village pad has been decorated.

Modern Family actor Neil Patrick Harris keeps his home minimally decorated but tastefully furnished with a nice touch of artwork added in.

Awww, yeah! We are going buck wild tonight! (delicious dinner by @dbelicious)

↓Remember media mogul Arianna Huffington invited one lucky guest into her Soho apartment to enjoy her ‘sleep sanctuary’ in homes of giving them their best nights’ rest (and to promote her book, The Sleep Revolution). Well, in case you missed it, here’s what the sanctuary looks like. Makes you want to dive right in and drift into slumberland, doesn’t it?

Carmelo and Lala Anthony have accented their home with unique but practical furnishings and plenty of pricey artwork...

↓Zoe Kravitz, daughter of singer Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet has kept her Brooklyn abode minimally-designed and it actually looks like what you might expect to see from a normal 27-year-old that, perhaps, isn’t the daughter of two iconic parents.
